MANARK - winner of the 2015 Kahayla Classic (Gr.1 PA) at Meydan

On Saturday 28th March, Sheikh Hamdan’s MANARK won the prestigious Kahayla Classic, a Purebred Arabian Gr.1 traditionally run as the opening race on Dubai World Cup night. MANARK is currently trained by Erwan Charpy in Dubai and was ridden on Saturday by Dane O’Neill.
MANARK started his racing career in France in 2012. The following year, he spent several months at Snarehill, before returning to training in the UK with Gill Duffield.

In November 2014, he travelled to Dubai where he won his second start in a Gr.2, before showing his champion class in the Kahayla Classic.

Since 2000, Sheikh Hamdan’s horses have won the Kahayla Classic 7 times: NIVOUR DE CARDONNE (2000), BOPP MOON (2003), KAOLINO (2004) and MADJANI in 2005, 2006 and 2007.
This amazing success is a very positive start to 2015 for the Arabian horses. Congratulations to everyone on the team who has worked with MANARK throughout his career so far.
