The first ever race meeting at Meydan Racecourse took place on Thursday January 28th, featured an 8-race card all staged on the Tapeta all-weather surface.
The honour of riding the inaugural winner of the track went to jockey Richard Hills, who partenered No Risk Al Maury to victory in the opening race for Purebred Arabian horses for owner HH Sheikh Hamdan Al Maktoum and trainer Gill Duffield.
